today we finnished reading the book city of Ember and we watched the movie and the movie was very differnt to the book it explaned less and i was a verydark movie and i every blackout their was an earth Quake and in the movie and some of the animals were huge and i personally think that the book had more discripltion and if the book had all of the funny bugs and beetles discribed better and also the differnces are Quite alot and personlly books are often better than movies but thats just my oppion this time i think that the movie could have used more of the books ideas and the movie could be something that dosnt realet to the movie befiore i have seen the movie and i didnt know they were related.

The Lakes High visit

On the 11th of september we went to lakes high to see what its like to see if its the high school we want to go to. In group B we did 5 activeties Art , Cooking ,P.E , maths and sicence .

In art we did a drawing on plastic sheets with special crayons then we placed the picture upside dowm on some wet sowen paper, once we have put it on the paper you put it though a preew and it was on the paper.
It as really fun. 

In cooking we made choclates and  we also made the choclate mold by pressing wodden shapes in to hot plastic with a special machine .

P.E  
in group B for P.E we played piarites but i couldnt plaay because i was on crutches but their was lots of obsticals like a trampoline, ropes, volts, climing ladders.

Maths
in Maths we had to do a puzzel and and we did abouot 6 mini puzzels and the last puzzels was that we had to make 3 3D shapes out of marshmellows and toothpicks and at the end we got to eat the marshmellows
YUM!

laungue
for laungnge we did spansh french and a little bit of  japnesse and group b played furit salad for spanish and french and for all of the laungues we did a game were you had to put all of the country names we had  and we only got 2 wrong that was itally and japan and thsat really goood considering we came 2nd.

for the last activtiy we did sicence and we were watching the test tubes fizz over chande colour and freeze things. this was all because of dry ice it was fizzzing about in the water and makeing it bubble over also we were watching the sicence teacher dicect a deers eye and she also taught us how the eyes works 
and tenia and sam make a deers lungs work .


Over all i had lots of fun and my favourite thing was the Cooking.

My Term 2 report

Term2 report

This term I did stage challenge we had 10 weeks to get ready for stage challenge. Our theme was paranormal and the groups we were thinking of were ware wolves, killer clowns, vampires, zombies, ghosts And campers we ended up with the groups Zombies, campers, scary rag dolls and ghosts We won 3 awards and stage challenge was fun.

 This term I also did the mountain bike competition in taupo at craters of the moon, I came fourth with a time of 16.40J. The track was quite narrow and there were some big hills but the track had lots of jumps and berms.

For science fair we did what drink is best for your teeth and for 4 months we had to test the teeth the teeth were cow and pig teeth the y stunk a lot and I did it with another person but we didn’t work very well together.

This term for tech we did Music and Maori median in music I played this old man and Bridget and I made up a song Dudley the dead chook. It was fun for Maori median we did a theme of Matariki and I got 62% in the test.

This term I was looking forward to my birthday because we went horse riding and I got to smash a big chocolate bowl also I got a pair of roller skates( the one with four wheels ).and we are going to the coramandel fishing for 4 days, in the school holidays J

This term we had a student teacher and Her name was Miss Sharp she was really fun and she was nice she interacted with students well. She taught us how to use googol docs and pixer and other programmes on Google chrome

Minecraft

This term we started up minecraft mine craft is fun we built a house and it was in a cave but then people started grieving so we are only allowed to do independent studies like making giant Rubik’s cubes and the great pyramid of Giza. We play mine craft on multi player so we can build with our friends and it’s not a flat land so it’s hilly and has animals.

My favourite part of this term was when we had the shared lunch for Matariki and we did all the activities like weaving and string game the shared lunch had so many sweet things like cupcakes and biscuits. Also rako sticks the rako sticks were made of newspaper and they were lots of fun.

This term was a great term overall and I had lots of fun but I’m looking forward to term 3 and the 2 weeks break I think everyone needs that break I had lots of fun this term.
